Created attachment 2190 [details] [review] Prototype patch The prototype patch also adds support for 30bit TrueColor/DirectColor visuals to simulate Sun's XVF-1000/-4000 high quality framebuffers. Created attachment 2197 [details] [review] Patch for 2005-03-23-trunk Patch checked-in... /cvs/xorg/xc/ChangeLog,v <-- xc/ChangeLog new revision: 1.832; previous revision: 1.831 /cvs/xorg/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/vfb/InitOutput.c,v <-- xc/programs/Xserver/hw/vfb/InitOutput.c new revision: 1.8; previous revision: 1.7 /cvs/xorg/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/vfb/Xvfb.man,v <-- xc/programs/Xserver/hw/vfb/Xvfb.man new revision: 1.3; previous revision: 1.2 Mailing the commit message to xorg-commit@lists.freedesktop.org... ... marking bug as FIXED. why a default depth of 12-bit PseudoColor? wouldn't 16-bit TrueColor be more appropriate, given bug #2330? also, does the 30bpp mode even work? i didn't think fb supported that depth yet. This change was reverted by anderson on 2005-07-23 because it resulted in too many depths. Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future. Yeah, I don't see this happening... |
