Created attachment 127794 [details] Xorg log with glamor warning and server error On a Toshiba NB505 I have no problem when using the "xf86-video-intel" driver. However when trying to use the "modesetting" driver now embedded into the Xorg server I get: [ 26.287] (WW) glamor requires at least 128 instructions (64 reported) [ 26.287] (EE) modeset(0): Failed to initialize glamor at ScreenInit() time. [ 26.287] (EE) Fatal server error: [ 26.287] (EE) AddScreen/ScreenInit failed for driver 0 [ 26.287] (EE) [ 26.287] (EE) I'm using the "i915" linux gpu driver, while lspci shows: VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Atom Processor D4xx/D5xx/N4xx/N5xx Integrated Graphics Controller And according to the specs under: https://www.cnet.com/products/toshiba-nb505-n500bl-10-1-atom-n455-1-gb-ram-250-gb-hdd-us/specs Then: CPU Intel Atom N455 / 1.66 GHz ... Graphics Processor Intel GMA 3150 Sounds like a bug in the glamor acceleration...
Updating the summary to be a bit more clear. We could fall back softly to shm, we're just not trying.
