X does not work on Dell 8G systems with DRAC4 with FC5 as well as latest FC which is FC6 Test1. Install only works in text mode and screen goes black during the initialization of graphic mode as well as post-OS install at execution of startx.
Created attachment 6076 [details] [review] This patch resolves the problem. Problem cause: Register CRTC_EXT_CNTL does NOT have the correct value when running with DRAC4. Bit CRTC_CRT_ON set to 0 (CRT OFF).
Change Priority and Severity fields. Any progress for this? How do we get the community engaged to accept this patch?
Reopening, since marking resolved won't help you get your patch in - it makes it look like the patch is not needed.

as far as I can see this should be fixed, by the community - granted I'm not sure it won't break again as a new output remapping scheme is being looked into. http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=xorg-driver-xf86-video-ati;a=commit;h=cc1825b503ce7e785cbb4611fd177477a1081b6e please reopen if it doesn't actually work on that hardware of course.
