Created attachment 83748 [details] Good and Faulty SVG icons in Draw 4.0.2 I have a network diagram made with the AWS SVGs (http://aws.amazon.com/architecture/icons/ - 'svg + eps zip'), created when using LibreOffice Draw 3.6 (on ubuntu). I've returned to edit the diagram after upgrading to 4.0.2 (actually 4.0.2-0ubuntu1) and now some of the SVG icons are overlaid with what looks like xml. The SVGs look fine when opened in another viewer, but still show the fault when inserted into Writer as well as Draw. I've attached an image taken from a new document in Draw, showing icons from that set that both do and don't exhibit the problem. I couldn't find another bug that looked like this particular issue, though there does seem to be some that refer to problems with SVGs in the 3.x > 4.x upgrade (eg #64076)

Could you attach a testcase (Draw file with this problem) here? Without it, it's difficult to reproduce.
Created attachment 83751 [details] Draw .odg file exibiting SVG bug An .odg file with alternating rows of clean (row 1, 3) and buggy (row 2, 4) SVG icons
The attachment 83751 [details] shows the overlay XML in all versions I tested (3.3.0.4, 3.6.0.4, 3.6.7.2, 4.0.0.0.beta1, 4.1.0.4) under Win7x64. It may be because it was saved using LO >= 4.0. It opens without the artifacts using AOO 4.0. If I extract the SVGs embedded in the file (in Pictures subdirectory) and insert them into a new drawing, they are inserted without problems in LO versions up to 3.6.7.2 (inclusive). But when inserted into 4.0.0.0.beta1 and later (including 4.1.0.4), some of them display the XML text. The SVG files that display this text are those that contain a <g> tag with "display" attribute set to "none": <g id="nyt_x5F_exporter_x5F_info" display="none"> the XML text that displays in LO>=4.0 </g>

Created attachment 86099 [details] screenshot for attachment 83751 [details] The odg file from attachment 83751 [details] is displayed fine here: Version: 4.2.0.0.alpha0+ Build ID: f4d3954fc6106b3ae0ee16ab0fcde15d8cb945e3 Linux (Ubuntu)
(In reply to comment #6) Also no more reproducible under Win7x64 with 4.2.x -> WORKSFORME.
