Description Christian Hesse 2013-04-05 14:25:47 UTC
Running Arch Linux I can not start X.org within VMware guest. Looks like this is related to glyph cache introduced in X.org 1.13/1.14. The problem is described in Arch Linux bug tracker [0], though it has been close after it has been fixed for Nvidia people.

I still do suffer this problem with virtual machines in ESXi environment.

xf86-video-vmware 13.0.0-2
xorg-server 1.14.0-2

Oh, possibly this is a duplicate of bug #61780 (SIGSEGV in fast_composite_src_memcpy). Sorry, did not find that one before.
