I added some content to examples/README, based on the previous CVS revision.

Write some basic information about each example
Comment 2 Jonathon Jongsma 2006-02-21 16:34:48 UTC
I noticed that in your patch you you had a note about compiling the example
programs with a command-line. The examples should get compiled with the rest of
the library by a simple 'make'. Does it not work for you?
Comment 3 Danilo Piazzalunga 2006-02-22 10:23:46 UTC
Yes, they get built (and BTW I think it is a good way to ensure that releases
always ship with working examples).

I added the note about how to compile note for the sake of completeness, without
thinking too much about it. It can be removed if you think it is useless.
Comment 4 Murray Cumming 2006-02-22 18:34:53 UTC
That information is useful, but
a) it should mention that they can be built that way "when cairomm has been
installed),
b) it should also mention that the examples are built automatically as part of
cairomm.

That information was certainly missing, and now it has been added.
