Description johnny7 2005-10-20 11:18:32 UTC
After I had finished installing Linux I restarted the computer. I logged in and
was hoping to see KDE greet me, but instead I saw a black screen with this error
message:

Data incomplete in file "/etc/X11/Xorg.conf".
At least one Device Section is required.
(EE) Problem parsing the config file
(EE) Error parsing the config file
fatal server error:
no screens found.

This problem kept me from using Linux for a very long time. I had do a little
reinstalling to fix the problem. What I suggest take place to fix this problem
is have a simple option at the end of the error message asking the user if he or
she would like xorg to auto-configure itself to the computer's current hardware
and then start up the gui. This feature would make a lot of peoples lives a lot
easier.
