Hi! It's a problem that I am forwarding from http://bugs.debian.org/624548 After upgrading my machine (versions before and after are below), I started to get segfaults when opening urxvt. xserver-xorg 1:7.5+8 -> 1:7.6+6 xserver-xorg-core 2:1.7.7-13 -> 2:1.9.5-1 xserver-xorg-input-all 1:7.5+8 -> 1:7.6+6 xserver-xorg-input-evdev 1:2.3.2-6 -> 1:2.6.0-2 xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.2.2-2 -> 1.4.0-1 xserver-xorg-input-wacom 0.10.5+20100416-1 -> 0.10.10+20110203-1 xserver-xorg-video-ati 1:6.13.1-2+squeeze1 -> 1:6.14.0-1 xserver-xorg-video-mach64 6.8.2-3 -> 6.8.2-5 xserver-xorg-video-r128 6.8.1-3 -> 6.8.1-5 xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.13.1-2+squeeze1 -> 1:6.14.0-1 My card at this time was an ATI one; this card died and it was replaced by a Nvidia one but segfaults still continue to happen when opening urxvt, rxtm, aterm or eterm (tested in both awesome window manager and Gnome). By creating a xorg.conf file (via Xorg -configure) and including 'Option "Accel" "no"' in Section Screen I am able to open terminals without any kind of problems (it just annoys that things are very slow). I am more than happy to test any patch or give more informations.

This might be fixed in xserver 1.10.4/1.11.
Perfect. Indeed tested with 1.10.4 and it's fixed. Thank you very much!
