Created attachment 32233 [details] dmesg Hello, I am trying to get libavg (http://libavg.de) running on my acer timeline 1810tz notebook, but a test script (src/test/Test.py) reproducibly freezes the X session (i can move the cursor, but cannnot interact with anything) and i am unable to restart it (tried SAK and xdm restart, but i only get a black screen with a mouse cursor). I can still switch to VT's, so i could collect dmesg, xorg log and run intel_gpu_dump (I also included a dump taken directly before the program start) System environment: -- chipset: GM45 -- system architecture: 64-bit dual-core -- xf86-video-intel: xserver-xorg-video-intel 2:2.9.1-1 -- xserver: xserver-xorg 1:7.4+4 -- mesa: 7.6 -- libdrm: 2.4.15-1 -- kernel: 2.6.32-rc8-amd64 (debian built) -- Linux distribution: debian testing -- Machine or mobo model: acer timeline 1810tz -- Display connector: lvds + vga KMS is activated. With a .31 kernel, the freeze/crash also occurs and i can't even switch to VTs. Thanks in advance for your help!

I tried to test this with libavg 1.5.0 built from source (since Test.py isn't included in debian packages), but it segfaults somewhere in boost-python when starting. Could you test with current Mesa+kernel+2D driver, since we've fixed a lot of GPU hangs since Mesa 7.6. (clear NEEDINFO when replying)
Tentatively marking this fixed, unless we get a response otherwise.
