Description Arkadiusz Miskiewicz 2005-01-30 09:14:02 UTC
Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Keyboard0"
        Driver "kbd"
        Option "XkbRules" "xorg"
        Option "XkbModel" "ibook"
        Option "XkbLayout" "pl"
EndSection

According to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/rules/xorg for "XkbModel" "ibook"
$maclaptop * = macintosh/us(extended)+apple(laptop_bad_switch)+macintosh/%l%(v)
it looks for pl kbdlayout in macintosh subdir.

The solution seems simple:
cp /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/pl /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/macintosh/
cp /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/pl2 /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/symbols/macintosh/

Did you try it? Did it work for you? I would not like to commit anything without
testing. And since I would be unable to test it properly I'd like some
confirmation...

Yes, I was using it for over a year. Worked well (I was using it with ISO model
of internal keyboard and then when it broke with replacement US keyboard, too).

Marking broken (status null/blank) bugs in xorg with no activity in a long time as fixed. Please reopen if you think it's necessary, but first do a search if a similar bug report is already filed and in a NEW/ASSIGNED state. These bugs do not currently show in most search results as they do not have any status.

Sorry for this janitorial spam, you know where to send hate mails to when your inbox gets full of bugs you're subscribed to.
