Description Bryce Harrington 2009-07-27 19:09:58 UTC
Forwarding this bug from Ubuntu reporter gilrim:
http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/405262

[Problem]
anything that makes compositing come into play, makes for hard tearing/flicker effects, where 1/3 - 1/2 the screen jumps and wraps round to the other edge... this can also be seen when writing text into editboxes..

I tried Ubuntu 9.10 RC with the 2.6.31-14.48 kernel based on 2.6.31.1.

no, I can't get high resolution from it, should I? What kernel should fix my problem? What version of graphic driver?

Regards

Marcel
