Description Milan Bouchet-Valat 2009-06-05 10:10:30 UTC
I'm using the driver 2.7.99.1+git20090603.b8e360bf in Ubuntu Jaunty, with an i915 GM (915GM/GMS/910GML [8086:2592] (rev 03)). Kernel 2.6.30rc7 (though the bug occurred with previous RCs too), with as well as without KMS enabled.

After some time the system has been running, some fonts (not all) get corrupt, especially on web pages; sometimes icons are affected too, and other widgets too (menus). See attached screenshots of bugzilla.fd.o and of OpenOffice.org for details.

I can provide you with any information you need, please just ask. And BTW, the new driver is really nice in other regards!

this is probably fixed in rc8.
Comment 4 Gordon Jin 2009-06-05 12:04:39 UTC
the symptom looks like bug#22111.

Could you try rc8 kernel as Julien suggested?
Comment 5 Milan Bouchet-Valat 2009-06-05 13:34:16 UTC
Now using 2.6.30rc8 - I was not aware it had been released yet. I'll report in a few days, since we need time to be sure it does never happen.

And, yes, that must be a duplicate of bug 22111, thanks for pointing me at this one. I'll report on the same bug.
