Description Pavel Andreev 2009-05-19 05:19:33 UTC
I havn't any unordinary options in xorg.conf, but when I use some video usage my laptop Acer Extensa 4220 freezes. No Alt+PrntScr+O or any other key combination doesn't work. Mouse not move.

This bug always happen, for example, when I run "qtdemo" --> "Graphics View" --> "Pad Navigation Example".

Or sometimes happen, when I run glxgears.

libdrm-intel1 version 2.4.5-0ubuntu4
xserver-xorg-video-intel version 2.6.3-0ubuntu9.2

I have Kubuntu 9.04, this bug had happens early (8.10, 8.04)

2D video is very slow, when using 3D system can suddenly hangup.

> tail -n 500 /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old |grep VideoRam

(==) intel(0): VideoRam: 262144 KB
(WW) intel(0): Option "VideoRam" is not used

xorg.conf is default.

Can you reproduce the problem on a current system using KMS? We've fixed a ton of GPU hangs since then.
Comment 7 Eric Anholt 2010-01-06 11:13:27 UTC
Feedback timeout. Please reopen if you can reproduce the issue on a current system.
