garbled screen after crash

When using UXA it happens about every ~2 days that my system crashes with a garbled screen, which continues to flicker. I am no longer able to log into that machine. The audio chip re-plays its buffer again and again. Its quite annoying.

This crashes only happend when using KMS+UXA, I've never seen it without kms and noaccel.

My system is:
- Fedora Rawhide
- intel-2.7
- kernel-2.6.29.1
- xorg-1.6.1
- intel-945gm

Ugg, another 945 crash. Can you install the intel-gpu-tools and capture a GPU dump after the crash? We're working on improving our debug code in the kernel too, so I might need you to try an updated kernel or patch soon.
Comment 5 Clemens Eisserer 2009-05-04 16:06:41 UTC
The system crashes hard (no ssh, ...), so should I create the dump after rebooting?

I've found another guys, experiencing exactly the same issue: http://www.spinics.net/lists/fedora-devel/msg114216.html

We both have toshiba notebooks, and a quite similar setup (Fedora11 + rawhide updates).
Comment 6 Jesse Barnes 2009-05-11 11:21:54 UTC
Adjusting severity: crashes & hangs should be marked critical.
Comment 7 Jesse Barnes 2009-06-23 16:55:38 UTC
Still seeing this with recent updates and/or git bits?
Comment 8 Clemens Eisserer 2009-06-23 17:19:34 UTC
has been quite a while since I've seen those crashes.
Seems to be fixed.

Great, thanks for the update Clemens.
