Description Yuri Chudnovsky 2009-03-31 05:48:51 UTC
I having a few computers with integrated (onboard) video Via Chrome9 HC IGP.
The problem is: computers are hangups on loading DE or even at logon screen, on moving mouse.
No matter of DM using: gdm, xdm, kdm - all the same.
Direct load of Gnome, xfce4 and so on gets the same result.
No logs are saved, hangup is instant.
Technical information:
vendor ID: 1106
device ID: 3371
revision: 01
packet versions:
xorg 1:7.4~5ubuntu3
xserver-xorg-core 1:7.4~5ubuntu3
xserver-xorg-video-openchrome 1:0.2.903-0ubuntu3
Linux core 2.6.27-11-generic
Distribution: Ubuntu 8.10

There has to be *some* log saved somewhere, or an OOPs that you can gatehr for
us.

Can you try different DRI drivers (eg: swrast) or X drivers (eg: vesa) to see
if that makes a difference.

Since this is old, I'm going to close it as it lacks information, but if the
problem persists and you can provide information, please reopen.
