Created attachment 23082 [details] Xorg.0.log with 2.6.1 Trying to go to a non-native resolution (e.g. 1024x768, 800x600) on an Acer LCD panel with a native resolution of 1680x1050 results in the display going black, saying "Input not supported". With the 2.6.1 driver, those resolutions work fine.

plese use the patch. Thanks Ma Ling *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 19931 ***
This is not a dup of 19931 -- 20196 happens with Feb 17 git, which is a few days after the patch for 19931 was pushed. I have verified that a variant of the patch for 19931 is actually in the driver I'm using (the lines in question got removed rather than commented out in git).
pls refer to http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html for how to report a bug. Need at least your xorg.conf Xorg.log with ModeDebug turns on...thanks.
if possible, both xorg logs for 2.6.1 and git master with modedebug turns on will be a lot helpful... thanks.
and the git commit id you used to test "current git" version... thanks.
ping Bernhard ~ Thanks Ma Ling
I think it should be caused by a small mistake during zhenyu's SDVO TV enhancement.. Please reopen if you still get this issue after testing the git tip of today. And if that happens, please paste the commit id of the git tip you tested and a xorg.log with Modedebug turns on. thanks.
