Description Nuria Tejera 2009-02-03 04:23:24 UTC
Hi, my computer fails sometimes since my last update (apt-get upgrade). I don't know why but I have to restart it when xorg-server breaks and I can't continue with my job.

I attach my /var/log/kdm.log file that contains information about my error. Do you need more information about my computer?

your environment is too old for upstream and we won't support it. Are you able to compile latest bits from http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html?

BTW, are you using a 945G/GM system?

Hi, I don´t understand your comment. I'm not a expert about linux systems. I'm only tell you that my computer doesn't work fine since I've update my computer. I've installed Debian Lenny with last updates from apt-get.

I've visited the link and I try to give you more information. I attach another file with information about all my hardware.

as a workaround, you can try to add one of the following options to the Device section of xorg.conf:
    Option "EXANoComposite"
    Option "AccelMethod" "xaa"
Hope this helps.

ok. maybe you need to report this to Debian support forum. or follow Julien's comment in comment# 7...
Comment 9 Nuria Tejera 2009-02-04 03:58:22 UTC
I've changed my xorg.conf file adding the lines in comment 7. Since then the computer works fine. If a few days I don't have more problems I'll tell you in this bug. If not, I will open a new bug in debian forum.

Thanks for all. I'm sorry if this place is not the best for my problem. I thought that the problem was in xserver-xorg because I found some errors in kdm.log an xorg.log files.
