The X server intermittently crashes on a Thinkpad T60 with ATI X1400 card running F10 with newest (as of 12/26/2008) updates. The crash happens when using standard applications such as OpenOffice3 or firefox. The relevant part of xorg.conf is Section "Device" Identifier "ATI Technologies, Inc. It looks like this could be a kernel modesetting related (i.e. Fedora specific) issue. Can you get a full backtrace with gdb? Does Option "AccelMethod" "XAA" work around it?
