I posted this bug few months ago to fedora bugzilla here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=430629 This is an update of that bug: http://www.fedoratv.com - site down?!? http://www.ted.com - front page isn't rendered correctly, individual videos just don't start http://www.youtube.com/ - you need to click on video in order to see controls but it works ok! Rewinding to uncached part doesn't work (it works with Adobe Flash 9 and 10 player) http://www.blip.tv - frontpage video works but other videos I click I see totem plugin loading instead of swfdec http://video.google.com/ - it works now. Rewinding to uncached part doesn't work (it works with Adobe Flash 9 and 10 player) http://www.redtube.com NSFW - videos don't play (looks also like buffering) http://www.metacafe.com - doesn't even start. http://www.videojug.com - it works now (but looong wait for buffering) http://sclipo.com/ - doesn't even start http://www.dailymotion.com - audio and video not in sync?!? http://crackle.com - doesn't even start http://www.revver.com - doesn't even start http://www.veoh.com - video plays but "loading" message that shows buffering stays overlayed over the video the whole time http://video.msn.com - doesn't even start tested with swfdec 0.6.0 on Fedora 10 and Firefox 3.0.4
There is a typo, not tested on Fedora 10 but on Fedora 9.
installed packages: swfdec-mozilla-0.6.0-1.fc9.i386 swfdec-gtk-0.6.8-1.fc9.i386 swfdec-0.6.8-1.fc9.i386
http://www.godtube.com - shows "loading", video doesn't start.
http://www.linuxfoundation.org/events/video/gallery - fails to start video
(In reply to comment #0) > I posted this bug few months ago to fedora bugzilla here: > https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=430629 first of all, as already said in rh bug you have to update to latest stable version 0.8.2 which should be available for your distro. > http://www.fedoratv.com - site down?!? can't help with this :) > http://www.ted.com - front page isn't rendered correctly, individual videos > just don't start already in bugzilla > http://www.youtube.com/ - you need to click on video in order to see controls > but it works ok! Rewinding to uncached part doesn't work (it works with Adobe > Flash 9 and 10 player) clicking before playing is how swfdec plugin worked before 0.8.0 which have an autoplaying feature that remembers your latest choices. > http://www.blip.tv - frontpage video works but other videos I click I see totem > plugin loading instead of swfdec works for me, if you see totem they probably aren't flash files > http://video.google.com/ - it works now. Rewinding to uncached part doesn't > work (it works with Adobe Flash 9 and 10 player) the rewind problem has already a bugzilla entry against youtube.com > http://www.redtube.com NSFW - videos don't play (looks also like buffering) confirm, doesn't work with latest git > http://www.metacafe.com - doesn't even start. flash 9, swfdec currently does not handle that. Bug for these already in bugzilla though. > http://www.videojug.com - it works now (but looong wait for buffering) this works with some issues with latest git > http://sclipo.com/ - doesn't even start this does not work with latest git > http://www.dailymotion.com - audio and video not in sync?!? we already have a bug for this in bugzilla > http://crackle.com - doesn't even start flash 9. > http://www.revver.com - doesn't even start this hangs my browser. > http://www.veoh.com - video plays but "loading" message that shows > buffering stays overlayed over the video the whole time flash 9. > http://video.msn.com - doesn't even start flash 9. > tested with swfdec 0.6.0 on Fedora 10 and Firefox 3.0.4 Really, please upgrade before further testing. Thank you.
(In reply to comment #3) > http://www.godtube.com - shows "loading", video doesn't start. confirm that does not work with latest git > http://www.linuxfoundation.org/events/video/gallery - fails to start video it's actually down
(In reply to comment #5) > (In reply to comment #0) > > > http://www.revver.com - doesn't even start > > this hangs my browser. well, tried 3 files with firefox: 2 works, 1 no video but fine audio so this could be a video codec issue.
(In reply to comment #6) > (In reply to comment #3) > > http://www.linuxfoundation.org/events/video/gallery - fails to start video > > it's actually down flash 9 stuff
So to make things clearer that's what is not working or doesn't have a bugzilla entry: - http://www.redtube.com - NSFW - http://sclipo.com - http://www.godtube.com - http://www.revver.com - looks like there could be some video codec issues
(In reply to comment #9) > - http://www.revver.com - looks like there could be some video codec issues revver issue is bug 18821 so we are down to 3 :) Last post for today!
http://www.hulu.com - video doesn't start
