You must provide some details about your existing account before we can simply change your email address. There is no gpg associated with your account so can get few fd.o members to sign a gpg key with your new email as verification.

I have no clue how to verify myself.

HI Carlos,
Some things you need provide are:

o fd.o Projects you were working on
o Anything you might remember that was in your home directory
o Get another fd.o member who you work with to verify you, via gpg signing

Something along these lines would help. We just need someway to verify you are who you say you are. Normally we just use gpg but you've no gpg key registered so it makes it a little more difficult.

Please email me these details direct: benjsc@freedesktop.org to prevent anyone else being able to 'verify' as you.

    Cheers,
      Benjamin

Hi there, did you send any mail or find another fd.o member to sign your key?
Comment 7 Carlos Romero 2008-10-30 21:36:37 UTC
I have been moving and have not had access to my archives until now.
Daniel Stone signed me on to xlibs and xserver.
I can give a md5 of a file that should be in my home dir.

Hi Carlos,
An MD5 of something that should be in your home dir (assuming it's something only you would have created) is fine. Just add it to the bug report and if it matches I'll update your account

It has been way too long for my feeble memory to remember what files I had over 5 years ago.
Comment 12 Benjamin Close 2010-02-04 19:16:53 UTC
Daniel, can you confirm this request, seems the only way to progress it.
Comment 13 Daniel Stone 2010-02-05 02:32:32 UTC
yep, i spoke with carlos at some stage and that's fine.
Comment 14 Tollef Fog Heen 2010-02-08 08:45:26 UTC
I've changed your email forward now. Please do file a ticket to get your GPG set as well, so we don't have to change this by hand in the future.
