Description Jim Gettys 2008-03-18 16:00:19 UTC
This might be either a bug in the Xv driver, or in totem.

I built from git (as of today) and configured a HP nc6220 laptop with external VGA; the external VGA drives a 1680x1050 screen (complimenting the built in 1400x1050 screen in the laptop).

Using the attached xorg.conf file, I configured the 1680x1050 screen to be to the left of the built in screen.

When I use totem to play a DVD, rather than filling the screen, it plays centered in the window and squished. The version of totem is configured to be the xine library version of totem (it can navigate DVD menus).

I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy, up to date.

Please attach log file, and the output of "xrandr --verbose".

And could you try some other video players to narrow down if it's totem bug?

Jim, are you able to reproduce this by using other player software? also ping for resposne to comment# 2...
Comment 4 Gordon Jin 2008-05-20 19:23:26 UTC
I can't reproduce this in totem with the latest git code.

Feel free to reopen if you could provide the needinfo.
