gpg key

Can you please attach this gpg key to my account? The account's name is "dana".

Thanks!

Hi Dana,
Hmm, your key is not signed by your last key and I can't find anything to confirm that you own the "dana" account (ie same name but different email, can't confirm ssh key, gpg etc).

Could you please put this gpg key in your home directory on annarchy and let me know when you have. That'll be good enough confirmation.

Yeah, I no longer have access to that old secret key. I've copied the current key to anarchy now. Thanks!
Comment 3 Benjamin Close 2008-01-30 06:14:42 UTC
Thanks for that. GPG key updated.
Comment 4 Dana Jansens 2008-01-30 20:48:29 UTC
I am trying to use the new gpg key to access my account settings but it doesn't seem to be working for me. The message I am sending is "show", run through gpg --clearsign. The message verifies against my key correctly at this end:

% gpg --verify show.txt
gpg: Signature made Wed 30 Jan 2008 11:07:21 PM EST using DSA key ID D0E89A20

But the message I get back from change@db.f.o is:

Error: An error occured while performing the LDAP lookup
==> Message Error: Key not found

Is there something that I am doing wrong, or is this just not working when it should be?

thanks!

I'd just like to add that this is still not working, so it is not a cache or propogation delay causing the problem.

% echo show|gpg --clearsign|mail change@db.freedesktop.org

You need a passphrase to unlock the secret key for
user: "Dana Jansens <danakj@orodu.net>"
1024-bit DSA key, ID D0E89A20, created 2007-07-22

returns to me:

Error: An error occured while performing the LDAP lookup
==> Message Error: Key not found

thanks

Hi Dana,
Sorry for the issue, seems I updated the key id but not the actual key. Please give it another shot.

Hi Benjamin,

Sorry to reopen this again, this is being a bit of work..

But I just tried it again and nothing has changed, it is stil giving me the same error:

Error: An error occured while performing the LDAP lookup
==> Message Error: Key not found

Is there anything else I can provide?

Hi Dana,
  This is strange.

I've now reimported the key from this bug report and reset the fingerprint:
The account system now has:

Dana Jansens <dana@freedesktop.org>
PGP/GPG Key Fingerprints: 2E5D 1B7C 2FD5 187B FEAD A2D8 D7BE 74B1 D0E8 9A20

With the keyring having:

pub 1024D/D0E89A20 2007-07-22 [expires: 2008-08-15]
      Key fingerprint = 2E5D 1B7C 2FD5 187B FEAD A2D8 D7BE 74B1 D0E8 9A20
uid Dana Jansens <danakj@orodu.net>
sub 2048g/D656D430 2007-07-22 [expires: 2008-08-15]

Can you give that a shot. If it fails again can you send me the output of:

 echo show|gpg --clearsign

so I can try and debug this locally.

Thanks,
  Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,

It is working now at last. Thank you for all your help!
