Description kikke 2007-05-15 03:33:25 UTC
With intel 845 g chipset, in 24 bit mode, the gradients are banded, worst than in 16 bit mode, where some dither is solve the banding problem.

In nv driver, an FPDither parameter exists which make dithering in 24bit mode, implementing this in i810 will resolve this issue, IF somebody make this.

Hi Kikke,

Sorry for the *very* late response on this bug. I don't know why I wasn't seeing
this bug report in previous scans of the bug database.

Anyway, what code/applications are you using to render gradients? Are you
sure that the gradients are being rendered by the driver and not by the
application?

Let me know,

-Carl
