Disabling MMIO is a work-around. This is a regression from XFree86 3.3.6, where the same hardware does work with MMIO: (--) SVGA: PCI: Cirrus Logic GD7548 rev 0, Memory @ 0x40000000, 0x41000000 (--) SVGA: clgd7548: LCD display only (--) SVGA: clgd7548: 800x600 TFT-color (18-bit color) LCD detected (--) SVGA: chipset: clgd7548 (--) SVGA: videoram: 1024k (--) SVGA: clocks: 25.23 28.32 41.16 36.08 31.50 39.99 45.08 (**) SVGA: Option "xaa_benchmark" (**) SVGA: Option "power_saver" (**) SVGA: Using 16 bpp, Depth 16, Color weight: 565 (--) SVGA: Maximum allowed dot-clock: 48.810 MHz (**) SVGA: Mode "800x600": mode clock = 26.700, clock used = 25.226 (--) SVGA: Virtual resolution set to 800x600 (--) SVGA: SpeedUp code selection modified because virtualX != 1024 (--) SVGA: clgd7548: Internal memory clock register is 0x1e (Extended RAS) (**) SVGA: clgd7548: Approximate DRAM bandwidth for drawing: 56 of 107 MB/s (--) SVGA: PCI: Memory @ 0x40000000, I/O @ 0x41000000 (--) SVGA: clgd7548: Using linear framebuffer at 0x40000000 (1024MB) (--) SVGA: clgd7548: 88576 bytes off-screen memory available (--) SVGA: clgd7548: Using accele (--) SVGA: clgd7548: Using accelerator functions (--) SVGA: clgd7548: Using BitBLT engine (--) SVGA: Using XAA (XFree86 Acceleration Architecture) (--) SVGA: XAA: Solid filled rectangles (--) SVGA: XAA: Screen-to-screen copy (--) SVGA: XAA: Using 6 128x54 areas for pixmap caching (--) SVGA: XAA: Caching tiles and stipples Adding to 7.2 tracker. we should probably remove this from the tracker, unless we have someone who's realistically going to fix it. punting Sorry about the phenomenal bug spam, guys. Adding xorg-team@ to the QA contact so bugs don't get lost in future. peterjeremy@optushome.com.au Do you still experience this issue with newer soft ? Please check the status of your issue. XAA isn't a thing anymore, so if this is still broken it's assuredly broken in some new way now. |
