I have exectly the same problem with an Intel motherboard D865GLC, with an integrated Intel video card 865, 512 MB RAM and a fully updated Fedora Core 3 (xorg-* 6.8.2-1). Same increase of frequency with time. Screen blanker and DPMS both disactivated. Problem worses displaying lot-of-color images (e.g. "display photo.jpg", or selecting a large resolution jpg background in Gnome). I am desperate, the computer is unusable after a short time. Any idea? Would help an upgrade to Fedora Core 4 beta-test (3.92)? Or should I wait for the FC4 release around June 10? |
