Created attachment 94617 [details] example presentation showing bug When running slideshow, "Notes" panel is empty, despite lost of notes in document. HELP!
That should be "lots of notes in the document"...
Dave: I can see the notes on Windows 7, LO 4.1.5 Keep in mind that 4.2.0.4 is the first version of 4.2 branch. So you can give a try 4.2.1 but I would advise you to use 4.1.5 for the moment since it is like you're in production considering this comment https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=75414#c2 Did you install any LO specific extensions? Do you use customized templates? More generally did you customize LO? Could you rename your LO directory profile (see https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile#Windows) and give it a new try?
I did not customize, use "special templates", etc. I reset user profile per the link you provided and still see a blank "Notes" screen in the slideshow, despite lots of notes in the "Notes" tab view... I cannot change LO versions at the moment; I really have to get some work done, sorry... Thanks for the help, Best Regards, Dave
Confirmed with Version: 4.2.1.1 Build ID: d7dbbd7842e6a58b0f521599204e827654e1fb8b - Lowering the importance because there is no data loss and it's not a stable version. Set as new and plateform all. Sophie
Created attachment 95369 [details] modified bugdoc The problem seems to come from the used styles. The notes do not have the style "Notes". In the attached file I created a duplicate of the second diapo by copy-paste of its content and copy-pasted the notes. For this diapo the notes are displayed during the slideshow. So my conclusion is that Presenter-Console does not recognize notes if they do not have the "Notes" style. So where is the bug? In LibreOffice or in the presentation? ;-) Best regards.
