Hello

Steps to reproduce

1. File> New> Presentation
2. Insert> Movie and sound> browse and select a sound file
3. Uncheck "Link", Open

Expected and actual result : object icon on the slide, selected

4. Try to resize the object icon with the mouse (drag the handles)

Crash

Platform: Version 3.6.4.1 (Build ID: a9a0717) & Windows 7 64bits

Also reproduced (fr-discuss) with 3.6.3.2 (Build ID: 58f22d5) & Windows7

Note: crash doesn't occur if the sound is linked (step 3)

I do not reproduce with LO 3.6.4.1 and LO 3.6.5.0+ under Ubuntu 12.04 x86_64.
MS-Windows crash only ?

Anyway, set to new and platform to Windows (All) as the crash is confirmed on discuss@fr mailing list (Seven).

Best regards. JBF

Hello

I do not reproduce the problem either with version 4.0.0.0.alpha1+ (Build ID: 80086a82883239cad5a6e667c8ff174623e190a) and Windows 7 64bits

pierre-yves: did you try to rename your LO profile? (see http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/UserProfile)

(4.0 Lo version uses another LO directory profile)

Yes, I did. The problem is the same with a "new" installation.

Rainer: would you have some time to give this bug a try?
(I can't test myself because of another bug preventing me to include sound or video)

Hello

Also occurs with Version 3.6.4.3 (Build ID: 2ef5aff) & Windows 764bits
(delete profile, ccleaner, new instal...)

I just realize that the object icon displays a question mark and not a speaker if you uncheck the "link" option when inserting (see the screenshot attached)

This may perhaps help if it's related ...

** Please read this message in its entirety before responding **

To make sure we're focusing on the bugs that affect our users today, LibreOffice QA is asking bug reporters and confirmers to retest open, confirmed bugs which have not been touched for over a year.

There have been thousands of bug fixes and commits since anyone checked on this bug report. During that time, it's possible that the bug has been fixed, or the details of the problem have changed. We'd really appreciate your help in getting confirmation that the bug is still present.

If you have time, please do the following:

*Test to see if the bug is still present on a currently supported version of LibreOffice (4.4.1 or later)
   https://www.libreoffice.org/download/

*If the bug is present, please leave a comment that includes the version of LibreOffice and your operating system, and any changes you see in the bug behavior

*If the bug is NOT present, please set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED-WORKSFORME and leave a short comment that includes your version of LibreOffice and Operating System

Please DO NOT

   *Update the version field
*Reply via email (please reply directly on the bug tracker)
*Set the bug's Status field to RESOLVED - FIXED (this status has a particular meaning that is not appropriate in this case)

If you want to do more to help you can test to see if your issue is a REGRESSION. To do so:

1. Download and install oldest version of LibreOffice (usually 3.3 unless your bug pertains to a feature added after 3.3)

http://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

2. Test your bug
3. Leave a comment with your results.
4a. If the bug was present with 3.3 - set version to "inherited from OOo";
4b. If the bug was not present in 3.3 - add "regression" to keyword

Feel free to come ask questions or to say hello in our QA chat: http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=libreoffice-qa

Thank you for your help!
