It is useful to use the "show formulas" option to copy / paste the formulas from calc in order to make search / replace with regex expressions, for instance in Notepad++. But there is some problem avoiding to copy the text shown in the cells, to paste it as text, in a notepad, or for instance doing "paste special" -> "unformatted text" in libre office writer. Steps to reproduce : open a simple calc workbook with several formulas. Use the "Show formulas" in tools / options to show the formulas, not the result. Select the formulas and paste those in a notepad. Copied text : ='DB EU'.$E1 ='DB EU'.$G1 ='DB EU'.$M1 ='DB EU'.$V1 ='DB EU'.$X1 ='DB EU'.$Y1 ='DB EU'.$AE1 ='DB EU'.$AG1 Result in Notepad : =#REF!.$E1 =#REF!.$G1 =#REF!.$M1 =#REF!.$V1 =#REF!.$X1 =#REF!.$Y1 =#REF!.$AE1 =#REF!.$AG1 LibreOffice 3.5.0rc3 Build ID: 7e68ba2-a744ebf-1f241b7-c506db1-7d53735 Windows XP Thanks, Joël
Copy/Paste problems between different programs are platform specific problems because often they are related to the system clipboard.
Perhaps this is platform specific. Also, I have the same bug under archlinux (everything up to date). Perhaps it works with a mac ! archlinux up to date 2012-04-11 LibreOffice 3.5.1.2 Build ID: 350m1(Build:102) Gedit 3.2.6 Text shown in LO : =A2 =Sheet2.A1 Result pasted in gedit : =A2 =#REF!.A1 Looks like there is a problem with the sheet references ?
[Reproducible] with "LibreOffice 3.5.2.2 - Build ID: 281b639-6baa1d3-ef66a77-d866f25-f36d45f - GNU/Linux Debian testing (32bit) English UI" and gedit 3.2.6-1 (Debian package) I can reproduce it only when another sheet is involved in the formula: Copied text: =Sheet1.A2 2 3 4 =suma(A2:A4) Result in gedit: =#REF!.A2 2 3 4 =SUM(A2:A4)
Sorry, I meant: Copied text: =Sheet1.A2 2 3 4 =SUM(A2:A4) Result in gedit: =#REF!.A2 2 3 4 =SUM(A2:A4)
I can confirm the bug (only for formulas including different sheets) under LibreOffice 3.5.5.3 Build ID: 7122e39-92ed229-498d286-15e43b4-d70da21 on Windows 7 Home (64 bit) and LibreOffice 3.5.4.2 Build ID: 350m1(Build:2) on Ubuntu 12.04 (64 bit)
