Again, same questions: 1. I do not like the idea of modifying latin layout. Could we restrict this change to some particular national layouts/variants? 2. Are XK_emdash and XK_endash the symbols you'd use (since I do not use explicit unicode in symbols file - unless I really have to)? (In reply to comment #1) > 1. Doesn't it make sense to keep the different Latin keyboards in sync where possible? Anyway it is yours to decide where this change makes most sense. > 2. How can I get to know that? > Doesn't it make sense to keep the different Latin keyboards in sync where > possible? Anyway it is yours to decide where this change makes most sense. As I said, I'll think of it (and may be discuss in XKB maillist). > > 2. Looking at keysymdef.h, of course. Trying to modify your current layout file (symbols/de) and checking the result. Bugzilla Upgrade Mass Bug Change NEEDSINFO state was removed in Bugzilla 3.x, reopening any bugs previously listed as NEEDSINFO. - benjsc fd.o Wrangler What about existing symbols on levels 3 and 4? key <AE11> { [ minus, underscore, backslash, questiondown ] }; key <AE12> { [ equal, plus, dead_cedilla, dead_ogonek ] }; backslash is duplicated, while questiondown is unique in latin(basic). dead_cedilla and dead_ogonec are also useful... I do not think we can just drop them... -- GitLab Migration Automatic Message -- This bug has been migrated to freedesktop.org's GitLab instance and has been closed from further activity.
