IIRC, the nv driver doesn't know how to program the DVI interface directly; it relies on the bios. Any news on this bug? I'm also victim of this bug. The current workaround I'm using is to connect my 1600x1200 screen via VGA, which has the disadvantage that it's not as crisp. Is there some other workaround? Does using the non-free nvidia driver help? Is there some way to change the BIOS panel size? Can running the non-free nvidia driver change the BIOS panel size as a side-effect? |
