Description Daniel Tonda Castillo 2004-04-21 01:17:43 UTC
When starting x from gdm after the latest update in FC1.91, where I upgraded
xorg-*, packages, the following message appears in spanish:
"Error al activar la configuración XKB.
Probablemente un problema interno del servidor X.

Datos del servidor X:
The X.Org Foundation
60700000

Si informa de esta situación como un fallo, por favor incluya:
- El resultado de xprop -root | grep XKB
- El resultado de  gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb"
============================================================================
As requested here's the output of the commands:
xprop -root | grep XKB
_XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "es", "", ""
_XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "xfree86", "pc105", "es", "", ""
==========================================================
gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/xkb
layouts = [es]
 model = pc105
 overrideSettings = false
 options = []

Fedora Core release 1.92 (FC2 Test 3)
xorg-x11-6.7.0-0.5
For some reason the computer froze, and when I restarted it, I lost all the X
settings. I reconfigured with setup and I only got 800x600. That's when I
realized that X now uses the xorg.conf file. I edited it with and I finally got
my desktop back.
The error message no longer appears, beats me...
