telepathy-glib has a bunch of pending work that depends on either GIO (expanding telepathy-glib's dependencies to include GIO), GLib 2.22 (for GNIO), or just generally deprecating things (_run_ reentrant methods, tp_get_bus etc.).

To do this, we should first ship telepathy-glib 0.8.0, starting a bugfix-only 0.8.x branch.

Due to the vagaries of symbol versioning, we can't usefully add any ABI in this branch, so it will be literally bugfix-only - as a result, in practice most people will carry straight on to 0.9.x, and 0.8.0 is more of a "line in the sand" than anything else.

This stable telepathy-glib release should claim to implement telepathy-spec 0.18.0, so we should ship that first.
