Patch was checked-in the git repository April 2008, most likely out-of-date.

It looks like it was checked-in accidentally or that it's usefulness has expired. I provided a patch to remove it if this is the right course of action. Not a big issue, but it will slightly hinder some work in the future.

I did try to provide a patch, but I was informed it is too big in size and asking me to break-it in pieces. It may have to be done directly rather than through e-mail. Sorry about that.
