I don't know how to describe this bug technically, so I'll refer you all to the related Wine bug report: http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=18232

In a nutshell, Game A is >95% code identical to Game B. They share a common engine, libraries, and everything. Both games require 60 fps in order to be playable yet are extremely lightweight in terms of performance. Any computer made within the last 7 years should be able to run both games flawlessly. On Windows, this hold true and both games perform as expected.

However, on Linux, using the latest kernel and git commits for Mesa, DRI, Intel, etc. Game A runs at the required speed (60 fps), but Game B refuses to exceed 20 fps.

Maybe hitting a fallback?

That linked bug report has way too much comment spam, while this one has no useful information. Please pick a single application, explain what's not working as expected here, and steps to reproduce. See also http://intellinuxgraphics.org/how_to_report_bug.html
