X restarts when a video is made to play in full scrren using totem. It also seems to randomly restart every now an then.

here is the system log message.

The chipset used is i865.
The kernel version is 2.6.30 generic rc8

The server is probably crashing, and the gdb backtrace of it would help a lot.  Also, some fixes related to segfaults with video were fixed in 2.8.0, so you should probably re-test with it.
