Description Will Thompson 2009-05-27 16:33:59 UTC
Idle seems to rate-limit to at most one message per second. I think this is overly restrictive; while a one message per second average sounds about right, most other clients seem to allow you to send short bursts. I haven't looked at the RFCs or the implementations in other clients, though. A side-effect of this is that it makes the test suite outrageously slow.

http://cgit.collabora.com/git/user/wjt/telepathy-idle-wjt.git/log/?h=testier-better-faster-stronger This branch adds a hack to speed the test suite up, but doesn't change the normal behaviour.
