Yes, the latest driver may not work with older server. So better you just use the xf86-video-intel driver shipped in Debian. How about to try a newer Debian than Lenny? git master has the fix already, but not included in any releases yet. commit f126aabdf8952177bb15f392041da7a7094eb31b Author: Eric Anholt <eric@anholt.net> Date: Wed Jan 21 12:52:36 2009 -0800 Fix build with server 1.4.
