Xorg.0.log

Hi,

on the same notebook with windows xp the grapic performance is okay, but with the latest intel-driver under linux the performance is poor. if composite is turned on its MORE poor.

there is also a suspicious line in Xorg.0.log:

(II) intel(0): Primary V_BIOS segment is: 0xc000
(EE) intel(0): vm86() syscall generated signal 11.

this is a bug, isnt it?

thank you!

what do you mean by poor performance?
Comment 2 Eric Anholt 2008-10-03 13:32:27 UTC
The vm86 call is gone, not that it should have been related to your bug.

To do anything, we're going to need sysprof output showing where in the X Server (presumably) CPU time is being spent during a specific activity you think the driver is slow it, and the desktop environment you're doing that activity under.

timeout for bug reporter's response. reject.
