Here is [1] a PDF document that causes Evince to work during several minutes before it appears: viewing page 464 makes it impossible to view any page for a long while, thus appearing to hang. Then you may need to kill the app. This is fully reproducible. 

I'm not sure it's a bug, but the page is not so complex, and should normally not require so much work to draw.


libpoppler2 version 0.6.4, and Evince version 2.22.1.1 in Ubuntu Hardy.
