Description Krzysztof Kotlenga 2008-01-14 09:52:00 UTC
X300 in IBM Thinkpad T43 freezes/crashes while resuming from suspend to RAM starting from 6.7.194. It was working perfectly in 6.6.193 and 6.7.193. 6.7.197 and today's git also crashes.

I've found out that using vbetool (vbe post, vbemode restore) after resume prevents crashing, but I get a garbled screen and must switch to VT and back to get it clean. Another workaround is to use old (working) driver first, suspend at least once with it, switch driver and then further suspends/resumes with current driver work like expected.

I've tracked this problem down to (pretty old) git commit
b27135bce8b41d69290613b440a338b0a7fe0200

but failed reverting it from the master branch (conflicts). Reverting it from 6.7.194 seems to fix this regression for me.
