The patch mentioned here is already applied in XFree-4.5.0, but that version
still exhibits the same "Couldn't copy terminal settings" problem on solaris
(version 8 for sparc). Truss shows:
ioctl(0, TCGETS, 0xFFBEF1A4)                    = 0
ioctl(3, TCSETSF, 0xFFBEF1A4)                   Err#22 EINVAL
