Initially after system reboot screen shuts down after timeout as expected.

But after I use mplayer it never shuts down any more.

'xset -q' shows:
DPMS (Energy Star):
  Standby: 1200    Suspend: 1800    Off: 2400
  DPMS is Enabled
  Monitor is On

Is any progress likely on this one?
I still have this problem now with xorg-7.3_1 on FreeBSD 7.0.
