Description Adam K Kirchhoff 2007-06-14 08:24:31 UTC
When using AIGLX (and only AIGLX) kde-window-decorat and gtk-window-decorator show white boxes around my KDE panels where, presumably, there should be shadows. This does not happen if I use Xgl or nvidia. Only when using AIGLX with the open source radeon drivers.

Which version of the X server are you using? If it's older than 1.3, can you try that?
Comment 3 Adam K Kirchhoff 2007-06-15 01:18:10 UTC
It's the stock Xorg 7.2 installation from Feisty. I'll see if I can test 1.3 today.
Comment 4 Adam K Kirchhoff 2007-06-15 08:07:33 UTC
I've pulled the latest code from git this morning:

X -version shows 1.3.0

I still have the same problem.

For what it's worth, aquamarine and heliodor work as expected (with both 1.3.0 and 7.2).

I heard on the opencompositing forums, and have confirmed for myself, that if you change the shadow radius, in the window decoration plugin, to 10 everything works fine with kde-window-decorator, though gtk-window-decorator still shows the broken behavior.

Comment 8 Michel Dänzer 2007-08-01 09:56:25 UTC
These are probably the same, please reopen if that turns out not to be the case.
