Bolnagri is a phonetic Hindi xkb keyboard map, very popular with newbies since its quick to learn & easy to use.

It was earlier implemented as two xkb maps used in combination. One map gave vowel signs while another gave vowels, while rest of keymap being same - this was done due to older restrictions in XKB ( pre Xorg ).
. being seperate maps and different from maps xkeyboard model, it was never ready for direct inclusion into X.org/Xfree86.
Also installing & using it required manual procedures, difficult for layman user  to do!
I have combined the two maps into one map, then went a step further to add it in 'in' so it works directly from that now..

usage is like
 setxkbmap -layout 'us,in(bolnagri)'

This way the phonetic keyboard layout becomes part of Xorg Indic map and can be used much more easily by just configuring through keyboard selection applets.
Since there are already few variants of other language keymaps (bengali, tamil) in 'in' , I think it would be good idea to include bolnagri also into it.

This enhancement would benefit a lot of Hindi users (about 400 million speakers!)

Thanks, committed. But I removed the "default" attribute.

thanks.. i overlooked that part!..

if its ok.. i would like to work on updating 'in' , to make it less of a mess as it looks now, will file more patches accordingly.
