Description Julien Cristau 2007-03-15 13:07:10 UTC
Trying to play a movie using Xv doesn't work when I add a Virtual directive to my xorg.conf to increase the fb size (I get a black video, sound works fine). I'm using xserver 1.3rc2 and xf86-video-intel 2.0rc2, and had the same problem with both rc1 versions.

Yeah, we shouldn't be allowing >2048 pixel width.
Comment 5 Julien Cristau 2007-03-15 14:36:35 UTC
well, I chose 2304 to be able to use a 1280x1024 external monitor together with my 1024x768 laptop panel, so being limited to 2048 pixel width would kinda suck :)
Is this a hardware limitation?

Julien: Could you check if the fix in #10645 works for this bug? If it does, I'll be marking this as a dup. I have a suspicion that it's the same underlying issue, with different symptoms.

I still get a black video with both patches from #10645 applied.

This should have been fixed with the #11295 fix.
