spincontrols disabled, the user is thinking that he/she cannot modify the margins

In 3-4beta5, the input boxes for font, font-size are rendered with a grey background, indicating "no custom input possible", but those controls do accept custom input.

Same for Calc's cell-range input box, that is used as a shorthand to assign a name to (a range of) cells.

Also the spincontrols used in the Options and also in position and size dialogs are rendered inactive.

This is a (usability) regression compared to 3.3.2.

Hello Christian, *,
did you only find this issue in the input boxes for fonts and fontsize? I also found them in the "Save" or in the whole "Options" dialog ... :(

With which distro, graphics card (driver) have you found this issue? I can confirm it with
OS: Debian Testing AMD64
Graphics: NVidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 with nvidia-glx 270.41.06-1.

Do you (or someone else) need any further info?
HTH
Thomas.

This bug was filed before the changes to Bugzilla on 2011-10-16. Thus it
started right out as NEW without ever being explicitly confirmed. The bug is
changed to state NEEDINFO for this reason. To move this bug from NEEDINFO back
to NEW please check if the bug still persists with the 3.5.0 beta1 or beta2 prereleases.
Details on how to test the 3.5.0 beta1 can be found at:
